Specialty care for gymnasts.
Every service is built around gymnastics demands — not adapted from generic sports PT.
Every service, in one view.
Some services run on-site at the gym. Some run one athlete at a time. Most programs use a mix. Full detail on each follows below.
At the gym
Training Room Hours (for gyms with agreements with the clinic)
Scheduled on-site blocks in a small-group format. Reduced rate for established patients in the group setting.
Team and Seasonal Screening Days
A movement and readiness screen for the team. Each athlete receives an individual report, and the gym receives a summary of findings across the group.
Coach Education
Soreness versus injury, modifying assignments, managing training load, and when an athlete needs outside evaluation.
Parent Education Night
An evening talk for the parent group, with take-home material for later reference.
For an individual athlete
Gymnastics Evaluation and Treatment
A full-length one-on-one session. The athlete leaves with a treatment focus, a plan, and a realistic timeline.
Return-to-Sport Planning
A written, phased plan with clear criteria to advance, broken out by event and by surface.
Season Monitoring
Training load, symptoms, and wellness tracked across the competitive season.
Remote Consultation
For out-of-town families, second opinions, or a focused starting point when hands-on care is handled locally.
No cost to the gym
Services are cash-pay and arranged directly with the family. The gym is not billed and carries no financial obligation. Rates available on request.
Gymnastics Injury Evaluation
A 60-minute evaluation that includes watching the athlete move — not just a table exam. The PT assesses load tolerance, tissue health, mobility, and sport-specific demands to build a complete picture. The athlete leaves with an injury profile, a plan, and a realistic timeline.
Includes: Movement screening · Load assessment · Full history · Written plan
Return-to-Sport Planning
A phased, criteria-based return-to-gymnastics plan specific to the athlete's injury, event demands, and competitive timeline. Not calendar-based. Criteria-based — built around actual load tolerance, strength, and skill readiness.
Includes: Phase-by-phase progression · Skill modification guide · Coach communication summary
Load Management & Injury Prevention
For athletes dealing with recurring pain or approaching high-volume training blocks. The clinic tracks training load relative to tissue capacity and builds a strategy to reduce injury risk without sacrificing preparation.
Includes: Load monitoring · Tissue-specific risk flags · Coach and athlete education
Coach Collaboration & Gym Partnership
Innovative Physical Therapy works directly with coaches — providing clear modification guidelines, safe skill progressions, and a shared language for managing athletes through injury. Available for individual consultations or ongoing gym partnerships.
Includes: Athlete handoff summaries · Modification charts · Periodic check-ins · See the full coaching model →
Virtual Consultation
Available for remote evaluations, second opinions, return-to-sport planning, and follow-up visits. Especially useful for athletes who have access to a local provider for hands-on treatment but need gymnastics-specific clinical reasoning.
Includes: Video movement screen · Plan review · Written summary · Coordination with local provider
Cash-based practice — transparent pricing
Innovative Physical Therapy is a cash-based, direct-pay practice. No insurance billing on the clinic's end — but that doesn't mean insurance can't help. Many clients use FSA/HSA funds directly for sessions. Clients can also self-submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement with the client's insurance; the clinic provides a superbill for that purpose. Current rates are in the Jane App booking system — or reach out before scheduling to ask first.
