What the clinic does

Specialty care, not generic rehab.

Every protocol assumes the athlete is going back to bars, beam, vault, and floor — not to "light activity."

Return-to-sport

The honest version

Cleared-for-sport decisions anchored in load data, capacity tests, and skill regressions — not calendar weeks.

Wrist & forearm

Upper-limb weight-bearing

Weight-bearing through the arms is constant in gymnastics. Rehab happens on the apparatus, not in a chair.

Lower back

Extension and load tolerance

Repetitive extension loading comes with the sport. Honest answers about what is going on, and a plan that accounts for it.

Ankle & foot

Landing and impact tolerance

Landing volume is high and the tissue has to tolerate it. Tumbling progressions are tested before the athlete tumbles.

Shoulder

Overhead and support strength

Overhead and support loads on bars and beam. Capacity and control built around the demands of the event.

Pre-season screen

Catch it in August, not December

A screen that finds load tolerances before the competition season demands them.

How the clinic works

Four steps. No mystery.

Good rehab should feel like coaching — the athlete knows what the current focus is, and what comes next.

01

Evaluation, gymnastics-first

A 60-minute eval that includes functional movements, objective testing, and attention to patient goals.

02

Load + capacity baseline

The clinic measures where the athlete's wrist, shoulder, lower back, or ankle — and the athlete's routines — are right now. Numbers, not vibes.

03

A plan the athlete can actually follow

Three things to work on this week, the why behind them, and the threshold that says the athlete is ready for the next step.

04

Return-to-sport, on the floor

Skill regressions, dosed reintroduction, and a real cleared-for-routines call — talked through with the coach when indicated.
